Propolis
Propolis explores the concept of social immunity practised by honey bees. Select members harvest antimicrobial plant resins which is then mixed with wax. The resultant mix reduces disease and parasite transmission at the colony level. This altruistic behaviour of a group of workers working for the collective health of the hive became the subject of my artwork.
